Customized to provide a personal experience for the players, coaches, parents, or teams that are interested in taking their game to the next level!

The UCLA Player Academy :: By participating in the UCLA Player Academy you will have the opportunity to train like a Bruin.  Consisting of two days of complete softball training customized to fit the needs of each individual player, the UCLA Player Academy provides young players with a unique insight into the world of the UCLA Softball Team, creating an experience that will last a lifetime.

Limited Space Means more Personal Attention :: Limited to a maximum of 20 players between the ages of 10-17, the UCLA Player Academy provides a 1:2 coach/player ratio to enhance the learning experience.  Because the groups are so small each player will receive more attention, more personalized training, and have the opportunity to interact directly with current and former players as well as UCLA’s current coaching staff.

Two Days of Bruin Softball :: Over the two day academy each player will get the chance to live the life of a Bruin softball player – wear what they wear, practice where they practice, eat what they eat and receive the same level of coaching and training as the real Bruins.  Each player will be outfitted with authentic UCLA practice gear and assigned an actual locker within UCLA’s Sharron Backus Clubhouse – just like a real player!  Players will eat their meals in the same dining halls where the current Bruins have breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Also, each player will be given the same goal-setting road map to academic and athletic success that has helped past and present UCLA student athletes achieve success on and off the field.

An Unbelievable Staff :: Most importantly, each player will learn the game of softball from the same coaching staff that has mentored 31 All-Americans, 13 Olympians and has won an 10 National Championship Titles.  Now you have the opportunity to learn from Coaches Sue Enquist, Kelly Inouye-Perez and Gina Vecchione as well as current and former Bruins.

Coach Enquist,
I just wanted to offer my congratulations on being inducted into the
NFCA Hall of Fame.  I was at the banquet on Friday night and thought
that it was the neatest experience seeing these great coaches being
honored for their accomplishments as coaches.  My high school softball
coach was on the University of Minnesota's 1978 softball team that
played against your Bruins team that year of the national championships.
She was telling me about what a great game that was between your two
teams.  Watching the video that all of your family, friends and
colleagues put together,  I can now see what my high school coach was
talking about (she told me that you scored the winning run to put your
team ahead).  This is my first year as an assistant coach.  You set an
excellent example of what a coach should be, onn and off the field.
Again, congratulations on your induction.
